Law Day 2013

May 14th, 2013 No comments

Attorney Paul Hanson is volunteering his services for the 27th time for the annual Law Day at the Snohomish County District Court (South Division). Over 700 fifth graders will be in attendance! The students will be involved in a 20 minute, very condensed, “criminal trial" to learn about the real criminal trials held in that court. Attorney Paul Hanson and his staff look forward to this volunteer work every year.

This year"s theme is ‘Realizing the Dream, Equality for All". Law Day is a national day set aside to understand the rule of law. Law Day provides an opportunity to recognize the role of the courts in this democracy and the importance of jury service to maintaining the integrity of the courts. Law Day programs are designed to help people understand how law keeps us free and how our legal system strives to achieve justice.

Change of Address

If you have a pending court case, it is your responsibility to let the court and Department of Licensing know of your new address. You will be mailed several different forms and notices throughout your case, and failure to respond in a timely manner could harm your case.

HERE is a link to Snohomish County District Court"s change of address form. If you case is in a different court, you will need to contact that court directly.
