Attorney Paul Hanson is volunteering his services for the 26th time for the annual Snohomish County District Court (South Division) in Lynnwood for 900 fifth graders from local Edmonds School District elementary schools. He has recruited fellow local attorneys to once again put on mock criminal trials with the 5th graders participating as “judges”, “prosecutors”, “defense attorneys”, and “jurors”. The students will be involved in a 20 minute, very condensed, “criminal trial” to learn about the real criminal trials held in that court. This is part of the court’s participation in the annual Law Day events, held in May across the country. Attorney Paul Hanson and his staff look forward to this volunteer work every year.
