My New Law Office Safety Procedures During COVID-19 (click to read)
Here is the letter I recently sent to all my clients:
Dear Client,
Just wanted to let you know that I am still open for business and working my normal 8:00 am – 6:00 pm days, Monday through Friday.
Legal counsel is an essential business under Governor Inslee’s March 23, 2021 statewide “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” (read more HERE) order. You always have the right to legal counsel. I am still working hard on your case preparing your defense.
My staff and I are now working from our homes to continue your case preparations. I am no longer meeting clients face-to-face in my office. But I am completely available for calls, appointments and meetings via telephone. Please call me anytime Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm to discuss your case.
I am committed to the health and safety of both my clients and office staff. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, and to follow Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” statewide order, my office building has been closed to the public through May 4, 2021. So please just email or mail me any documents, items, or papers you would normally drop off for me. And upon request, the Department of Licensing is also postponing all DUI license suspension telephone hearings until after May 4, 2021.
All local courts have drastically reduced their daily proceedings to only a few sessions per day. Most of you have received mailed notice rescheduling your court dates to mid-May or June. And remember, you can always check online at www.courts.wa.gov and click “Court Dates” to find your next scheduled court date. Please call me with any questions regarding your next court date.
Every day brings new developments and information on how to slow the spread of COVID-19. My clients and staff are my number one priority. I will continue to follow the recommendations from the national Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and update my office COVID-19 practices.
Please call or email me with any questions or comments regarding this new way of legal practice during these unprecedented COVID-19 times.
Take care of yourself. And stay healthy.
Sincerely,
Paul G. Hanson, Attorney
